Thread: Glasurit Codes

    Glasurit Codes

I am once again in Paint Code Hell.

I have this link http://members.rennlist.com/tweedt/glasurit.htm that I got from this forum. It seems to have all the codes that I need, but it also seems to me that they are out of date ???

Can anyone shed some light on this subject for me? I'm looking for a PPG code for Mexico Blue (Glasurit Code: POR336), but there seems to be some trouble cross-referencing the information.

Also, this is the perfect opportunity to post pictures of RSR-bodied 911s painted in Mexico Blue. So, any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the quick answers, fellas.

However, I'm still looking for the PPG cross-reference info if anyone has it or knows where to find it.

    Marco-
I think you are going to need some industry insider help to get this. AFAIK, all the PPG color tools are available online, but you need to be a paying customer (distributor) to use them, with a logon to the site. I would try your local PPG distributor and see if they can look up Mexico Blue in the database for you. I'm not sure if they have all the old Glasurit paint codes cross-referenced or not, and whether they'll work with you to get them, but it's worth a try. They do say they have a "historic" section in the database...
