    s caliper rebulid ?

i'm in the middle of rebuilding my calipers.
much to my dismay, re-assembly is NOT reverse of tear down!
the new ss pistons are really tight, almost an interference fit.
i assume that is normal but the knock-back mechanism seems to be hanging up on the pin and won't allow me to set the piston to final depth.
is it time for a BFH (big f...ing hammer) or should they just slip together.
i hate to force it and break something, especially after fitting my new compensating lines (thanks eric)
    anybody have experience here?

It shouldn't take more force than you would normally apply to retract the pistons. Where did you get the SS pistons?

i think the pistons are okay. they're pelicans
they do slide if lubed well
i think its more a problem with the knockback.
how tight are those things supposed to be?
