1968 911 Normal with Emission Control

Another question that has been unresolved. In putting the smog system back together for my project, I have a few parts left over (Ha Ha). I've been through PET and the extra part doesn't look like it was ever original. It was mounted off of the smog pump by a very home-made bracket. I am wondering what it may have been used for and where else the fitting that was attached to it (that looks very factory) may have been connected? PET MG 2 SG 02 Illustration 202-30 doesn't show where this connectection terminates coming out of the "T". Anyone got pictures of a complete smog setup?
    Thanks for your help.
