Does the shift lever have a bend at the base?

Is the shift lever suppose to be bent at the bottom? The one I received in the mail does not match the one I have in the car.

    Hi Bob,

It is not supposed to be bent like that.

Here's a spare I have on the shelf:

Are you looking for one with perfect chrome Bob (unfortunately the plating on mine has worn thin) ?

    Thank you gentlemen.

Andy - although the one I have in the car is nice this one is just about perfect...except for the bend.
