    71 Targa wind wings......

Hi all. I have a 71 Targa and on top of the wind wings there is a rubber stop for the window. I have a set of NOS replacements and was wondering if anyone has replaced these. I heard it is attached by both screws and a rivit or two? Any help would be great! Thanks in advance, Mark

Hi Mark, I recently disassembled both my assemblies for complete restoration including the top stop.

The stop bracket is riveted in place by 2 rivets under the rubber window channel on the vertical member.

I don't believe you will be able to change them without disassembling the entire vent window.

The rubber seals need to be pulled back to expose the rivets and they are solid copper so you need access to both sides to buck them.

I bought replacement brass rivets if you can't find any.

    Good luck, Robert
