    $145,000.00 1973 911e

Has anyone seen or know anything about the 1973 911E for sale for $145,000.00 at the Auto Collection in Las Vegas? I am here for a short vacation and plan to look at the car today.

The ad states that it is the best in existence. I guess it must be at that price.

Certainly a very nice looking car. You would think though that for $145k they would replace the diamond plated front door map pockets with new vinyl ones and put a nice original steering wheel back on.

I looked at it in the beginning of January. Its in the run down hotel Imperial Palace on the strip. The collection is nice and worth a visit! Pricing are stupid....

    You can say that again.

I drop in on occasion when I'm in town but the place has really turned into a dump. They once had a great collection of Duesy's there.

If this car had less than 15K miles, I would think the price on the very high side of fair. At nearly 50K miles, I'd think fair value half of asking.

    OK I saw it

    My non-expert observations:

It is a extremely nice looking car. Houndstooth sport seats look perfect with a little wear on the driver's side left bolster. Dash and rest of interior looks perfect. The car has a lot of presence with the signal yellow paint and the houndstooth interior.

I spoke to a salesman who happens to be the owner's brother. It is owned by the owner of the Blackhawk Collection. They claim to have all records since day one. The salesman was low pressure and seemed like a nice guy.

The paint looks as good as the paint on my 1 year old 997. There are a couple of touch ups on some paint chips on the front hood. However, the rest of the paint looks perfect and they claim it is all original. No sunroof.
    Original radio.

I have a question: Should the paint be a much lighter yellow inside the front trunk just behind the fuel tank? Was this section more thinly painted at the factory?
