    Replacement soft rear window

Anybody have any insight as to correct fit and material/design for replacement soft rear windows from any of these sources: Parts Obsolete, International Mechantile, Autos International, World Upholstery, or Autobahn Interiors. Others? It is time for me to tackle this to finish getting the wife's car back together. Any and all responses are appreciated.
    Thanks.

John,That has to be the best picture, with your wife, that I have seen on this web-site in years! I laughed and showed it to mine. Rick Cabell would have good answers to your questions in regard to the soft window replacement. There are others as well. You owe us a picture of you both when you are through,as you must have a very understanding wife.Good luck-nice car! Tom

I would say Tony at Autobahn. He has the most experiance and cares about his customers the most. As for installing it yourself, it takes only time, patience, and knowledge. Can't really explain how to do it thought this keyboard. It's a hands on job. The last one I did was a NOS that was very stiff, made it harder to install. What you get today will be alittle more workable.

It seams that folks speak highly of Tony. I'll be sure to contact him. I am not worried about the installation, but mainly the quality of aftermarket product. I'd like it to be as similiar to OEM as possible with out the huge OEM price. There certainly has to be others out there that have replaced their rear windows?

    John,
How did you manage to get your wife involved in the project like that ?
Must be some blackmail somewhere along the line ?
Not to sidetrack your line of thought but have you considered having a full glass window instead ? - '68 was the first MY the hard window was an option.
Do you know which window your ' 68 came with ?

    Cheers,
    Dennis.

My Magic 8 ball sez "all signs point to soft window"

I am fairly certain it was originally (and currently) a soft window. Everything is complete for a soft window. Granted I haven't gone as far as getting a COA, but I can't imagine someone before the two previous owners (going back to 1972) changing it from a hard window to a soft.
