First set I have seen on ebay for a while.

Around $700 bucks and 44 bids.

I think there might be demand for the repros

There was a pair at Hershey, perfect, like new, with a pair of extra Cibie straps for $1200. I'm pretty sure they sold. Like our cars there is a substantial premium for perfection.

Hi Raj, you know more about them than I do, To be honest, I have never seen a pair. I assumed that, at $1200 they were NOS, I did not press the seller for details. Hope yours are cheaper

    Straps???

I have a pair of original Cibie covers in great condition, but I don't have the correct straps. Has anyone figured out a way to make some, maybe out of straps made for some other use? They don't have to have "Cibie" on them (although that would be cool).

    Thanks,

I got an Email from Rene(who produce and sell the Cibie Pallas repro's), he will have the yellow Cibie covers ready for sale in a short while. I looked at the production drawings and I think they will be extremly close to the originals in all details.

If the price of covers shows the same trend as the price of Cibiés after Rene floaded the market w/ his very good repros than this would be about the time to sell original covers
