    Case Info Please

    Anyone out there help me find out more of a case I have had in storage for years.

    # 907849 901/05 4714

    The case is in great shape. I think its from a 1966 or 1967 but want to find out more if I can

    901/05

    901'05 is late 66 and 67 911 Normal. This is the motor with Weber instead of Solex carbs. When given the same exhaust the Normal had only 10 HP less than the 911S so they softened the valve timing to detune the motor. That was 901/06.

    I always thought my '65 w/ SSIs felt surprisingly sharp compared to my 'S'. Thanks for the clarification!
