Early 901/911 Vdm Wood Steering Wheel For Sale - Must See Photos Link

We have made a high quality reproduction of the very rare and elusive 901 wood steering wheel. For the un initiated this was the first factory wood wheel for the 9 series cars made by the factory and featured an aluminum armature that was visible on the inside of the wood rim, NOT fully encased like the later steel frame wheels. Porsche abandoned this style because the alloys of the time were not up to the strain of the 180 degree opposed spoke positions and the armatures flexed, cracking the wood. This flaw is fully solved in our version by virtue of a small steel core running the full circumfrence of the wood just outside the alloy frame inside the wood. We have gone to great lenghts and expense in recreating the alloy mounting hub, stamped steel top horn mounting ring etc. The method of assembly is EXACTLY as the original using correct, genuine German din steel round head rivets NOT screws. we also spent countless hours reverse engineering the tooling for compressing the rivets EXACTLY as the OE wheel, each size rivet required 100% totally unique tooling. We have been retailing these wheels for $795 but need to raise a little dough for our 911 dash project as well as our new 911ST wheel we are making so we are offering a super deal for a limited time: $500 with free shipping in the 48 States. See: www.ClassicoWheels.com/911wheel for detailed pics from start to finish. These wheels are a direct factory style bolt on for all 9 series cars from 1965 through 1973, You can call directly if you want to order at 941 321 9389 or 941 346 1778 or our toll free number 800 868 0808, Jeffrey Fellman/Classico Wheels/ Rennwerkes

    Jeffrey,

What is the outside diameter of the wheel in millimeters, please.

One more question. Does that price include the Porsche crest center horn button. If not, how much for the button. (wheel & hornbutton for a '70 911T)

    Thanks,

    JZG
Before it became Ruprecht, my Porsche was a '70 911 T
