Help question about a body cut

I hope I can make this clear. I have a 73T at the body shop getting the metal work finished up. The pictures will be worth a thousand words, but first. The car had/has some sort of tie downs welded under the battary boxes. When the car was transported to me one of these tie downs was ripped off. Rusting on the backside most likely did not help. But I need a cut to replace this section under the boxes. Question is this, will any year 911 work for this cut. Like a later impact era bumper car.

That repair doesn't look that bad.

It would appear that any piece of well shaped sheet metal would do the trick. It is a fairly flat section in an area that is fairly easy to get to. If it were a compound curve or an area that was very hard to match I would look for a matching piece. This doesn't look that bad.

Patch, grind, patch a little more, grind a little more, prime and paint.

    Moldey

You should see what's not on the other side. Whole front pan has been replaced since these photos were taken. That whole piece under the boxes is as they would say a bit "Moldey". All those compound curves. Body shop says it would be alot more presentable, if I could come up with the cuts. The left side is useable but I would like to get rid of that tiedown. Were these standard on the 73's. 71's do not have them. any way back to the question. Will a later model donar work. Several well known salvage yards can not answer this either.

    question about body cut

Yes Bill, those are factory installed tiedowns that first appeared on 73 year cars. There should also be some in the rear.
