    Help with Gearing..

I will soon be installing a 2.7RS engine in the 67S. I don't want to use the original transmission with this engine. What gearing should I be looking for??

I've been running the car with 205/50/15 tires, I also have a couple of sets of 205/60/15 A008's, but I don't want to use them up..

I also don't want to modify anything to fit a later transmission, as this is a "temporary" engine until I get the 2.0S engine back together.

Any and all thoughts are welcome.. Past experience tells me, If I leave the 901 in there as it stands, I'll be out of gearing way before I want to be.

That gearing is actually outstanding in front of a 2.7. You'll run out of aerodynamics before you run out of gears!

you'll be able to pull stumps in 1st

I don't agree w/others above but you can put up with it until the next rebuild.

    thanks for the responses..

I am concerned i'll run out of gears too fast for the long track we run on.. After all, the 2.0s let go at 7300 rpm, sustained for about 1.5 miles each lap. It was running like a Bat out of Hell, so I'm figuring i'll be hitting the rpm limit even faster..

How about a 915 installed in a swb car??? What concerns?? What Modifications, etc..
