Guys, any comments on this '71? I'm thinking about it, but would prefer a non-A/C car.
Thanks, Bill
Might as well pick up the wheels too.

Hi Bill,
Welcome. Comments in terms of...? Level of effort required to bring it back? To what condition?
Is this your first 911 purchase? I gather that since you're looking at a car in this condition, you probably at least know that you're in for a heckuva project. It would be great to save this S. Can it be saved? That, I don't know.
Best luck,
Jorge

I'd do it for the right price, for sure.

Hi all and thanks for the welcome! I've really enjoyed the site over the last few months (except the turbulence surrounding the "Coppola" 911S)
My goal is to find a T, E or S for a rebuild, bare metal if necessary. Theory is that I'll do roughly the same amount of work, so it might as well be an "S"
"Back in the day" I did a couple of years working in autobody, also built my own engines for flattrack and can follow instructions. What I really lack is the encyclopedic knowledge of this member base. On this porsche: any comments are appreciated - Thanks for the heads up on the wheels - I'm trying to find out if they are from this car. Does F.I. look correct? Serial # of engine and VIN seem consistent, Needs some expensive piece parts - Also I get very wrapped around "complete" originality and may not be good enough on procuring the piece parts in a timely fashion. I will try to contribute to the board as much as possible. Thanks, Bill

Sold on e-bay: $17,321 - not to me - too much $ for not having been able to see it in person.

Price is right, just not for those spending US Dollars. There's rust in them that hills...

That would be the very least of your problems with that one.Originally Posted by 911TES
