Sun visor pivot question

Is there a difference between the inner and outter pivots? I tried to assemble what I thought was a good set of four pivots from three other sets. When I went to install the "best" set, I found that the outter pins slipped in just fine, but the center pins are too large for the visors that I have. The visors are the correct tan and black and the pivots are the light tan/putty color as well. I passed along the other pivots so I no longer have those for comparison.


What am I missing here?

If you are talking about a 67S sun visor installation I have just done this job.

Have you got the small lock screw turned out a few turns before inserting the pin?

I had six bracket pins and they all fitted so I'm assuming on a 67 car the pins are all the same size.

Maybe the holes are slightly burred up at the edge. You could try remering out gently with a drill bit (hand held or in finger chuck)
