    911 Price guide from Europe

Here's an alternative to Bruce's guide... Note that the prices are in Euros.

But it looks to me that if you pretend it's dollars instead (which is not so farfetched as the real parity should be 1 for 1), the prices look about right for the US. But since the Euro is like $1.5, you can understand why the Europeans are importing our 911s and smiling all the way home...

The interesting thing is that a Targa is always less in value than the coupe which is correct for Europe. With the recent sale of the 67S Targa which was discussed here it was stated that it is vice versa in the USA, correct?

This is a great resource. I don't know about the accuracy in about Euros, but these are spot-on prices when measured in USD.

    Cheers,
    John

Why would that be? Real parity at 1 for 1? I do not think so. Have you lately looked at the US deficits? There is even the theory out there that the $ is still undervalued.

Good price guide though. SCM also updated the 911 guide to a tad more realistic levels but probably still 15 - 20% too low.

Real parity refers to "income dollars"; a European garbage man doing the same job as a US garbage man makes the same wage in Euros (75K Euros) as the American in dollars ($75K). Pretty much the same applies for pounds, too.

This price guide is shockingly accurate. I wonder what their tracking methodology is?

The rs 2.7 touring prices seem to be really low. The last ones sold in the past 3 weeks were between 345,000 and 425,000 USD.

Actually, its a french list and does not automatically represent market situations elsewhere in Europe.
French prices (as quoted by popular Flat6 or RSmagazine) are at least 10% below of price situation elsewhere in Europe altough lately they start to state them more realistic in above mentioned magazines.
    In my opinion
-you wont find any more a TRULY "excellent" 2.2T for 37K Euro or a 2.2S for 58K.
-A really "good" car is usually higher priced than those above stated.
-Low mileage cars are very rare and almost priceless if still in excellent state.

Well as far as UK prices are concerned I don't think it's that accurate - ignoring the 2.7 models, the prices quoted for 'Good' versions of the 2.0-2.4 models are what 'Excellent' LHD examples are selling for in £ sterling.
