I have changed the air filter in my 72E MFI with a BMC one (similar to K&N), no cone or umbrella nothing like that, the filter shape is the same and fits in the same air filter compartment as the standard.

The afraid to ask question is, when I put the air filter inside the compartment, the round compartment is significantly bigger than the filter and therefore the round filter lays on the bottom of it, and in order to place back the cover of the air filter compartment and close it, the filter needs to be moved up doing a certain equilibrium, so it fits in the exact center (same distance to the borders up down right and left) of the circular air filter compartment.

Is there a trick/special procedure to perform this equilibrium? I am use to the snugh fit flat filter in the other cars....

I have checked that the BMC filter is correct for the 911 72 MFI model.

Thanks. Arturo
