    SWB Wheel Question

Did '67 plain Jane 911's come stock with 4 1/2" steelies with 165's? And S's with currently unobtainium 4 1/2" Fuchs?

    Thanks,

    Yes.
I have the originals to my car + spare. Car was ordered with "Chrome Steel Wheels".
And sitting in the garage I have the optional 4.5 Fuchs with 165/15 Michelin XAS mounted (5).
Thank you Harvey Weidman. I have deemed them too nice to mount on the car.
Like Chief Dan George said in "The Outlaw Josey Wales"; "All I have is this piece of rock candy. But it's not for eatin'. It's just for lookin' through."

    Tom....

Thanks for the input. Are these the same wheels that were used on the 356C T6?

    Cheers,

technically yes, that is what was standard on the 911 and 911s models, respectively. BUT, you could buy any car, and buy the options you wanted. ie.. you could buy a 912 with sport seats, 4.5 fuchs etc. if you wanted a 911 with S trim you could get it. if you wanted a 911S that was painted pink, you coudl get it. the factory would let you get what ever you wanted if it wasnt standard, but you had to pay for those extra options if it wasnt standard on that model. they wouldnt turn down money on options that you wanted to buy, just because you didnt get the S.
