    Targa Newfoundland

    Has anyone here on this board ever raced in this compitition. I saw a Speed channel story on it recently and looks like a blast. From what I can assertain it's the only Targa in N.America. I know it cost $5500.00 to enter , but it lasts a week. appears they get 75 - 80 cars and the promoter would like to get around 95 cars.

    A local fella entered his 70 targa (I believe it to be a 70) and ended up in 7th place last fall. He had a blast and the car held up perfectly. It's highly recommended to anyone wanting some 'balls out' street ripping along some rather scenic east coast venues. Up here in Canada dere eh????

    Yeah, Aaron and I crewed it in 2005. Great event, Newfies are really great folks, bringing their kids out to see the cars (they are housed in each town's ice hockey rink every evening for the public), and the island is really beautiful.

    The drivers seem to enjoy it, too!
