VDM Wood Wheel - decode 5288

Could someone tell me what information is denoted by the number 5288 stamped in the hub of this VDM wood wheel?

    Thanks

Absolutely nothing as far as I'm concerned. I've got a dozen wood wheels, and documented a couple of them out of original cars, and the serial number of the cars had nothing to do with the number stamped on the wheel.

    That's my .02....
