CHARITY AUCTION: 1965 911 & 1967 2.0S engine

Apologies for this being my first post here for many months (life's been too hectic for fun).

I lost a very dear friend to cancer last month. We are blessed in the UK with a charity - Macmillan - that provides care and help to sufferers of cancer and their families.

Last year I auctioned my '52 356 Coupe and we raised, with generous donations from many, nearly $20,000 - every single penny of which went to Macmillan.

This year, I've decided to auction a 1965 2.0ltr LHD coupe which 'ran' as a 1967 2.0S rally car, quite successfully in Ireland, Scotland and the UK.

Just a brief note to thank those from this board who popped by the DDK to follow the action last night.

I'm delighted to say that, with generous donations from DDK'ers, we sold the little '65 basket case for £7,500 (about US$15,000) but achieved an outstanding total of £9,015 (about US$18,000) - every cent (penny ) of which will go to assist Macmillan's work in providing care and support for terminal cancer sufferers and their families.
