    FS: Solex Sheet Metal

This is the rear sheet metal for a '64, '65, or '66 911 with Solex Carburetors.
It's the sheet metal that goes under the fuel pump and is in great condition with no dents or tears in the metal. It does have a little surface rust, but not bad. $175 plus shipping, or $200 plus shipping if using PayPal.

    Thanks,
    John

    Sheet metal

I have a 65' 911 that I am restoring. I was going to install a set of webers, but now that I have a set of solexes. I'm thinking of keeping it original. So this sheet metal is that unique?

    Where are you located?

I was not aware of that either. Is there a Solex and Weber piece? I can't find anything about it in the 65/66 parts manual. Is it possible that it changed later on, like in the late 60's but that in the early years this piece remain unchanged. Can you chime in John?

    Hi guys,

Yes, if you take a look at the right side of the sheet metal, you can see where it dips down under the solex fuel pump. I didn't think a flat piece would fit under the fuel pumps, but I have never tried it.

I'l try to post a photo of my engine with the sheet metal on it later today.

    I'm in San Diego.

I understand the bump but wonder if (66) weber sheet metal still has that bump.

I'm not sure if the '66 Weber has the dip in the sheet metal, some of the early ones may. The first photo is my fuel pump and sheet metal which is the same as the one I'm selling. The second one is under the fuel pump.

The sheet metal from my '66 901/05 Weber engine has the same bump in it.
