Nope, not one of mine....
It will be interesting to see how this one goes, if not just to track the market. Certainly will be a project...but I hope someone does save it.

I agree, it will be interesting to see where it goes. Even in today's market of very high values, this car will cost more to restore than it is worth. We have a couple recent examples that value a nice one at around $100k.Originally Posted by Soterik

CERTAINLY NOT for the faint of heart....
Talk about needing EVERYTHING. And a BIN of over $40K?

Well, yes it needs everything. To do it to a high standard is huge dollars, but dropping it down to the next level to nice driver standards takes less money. The color is great, it's fully number matching, and has a couple of great options.Originally Posted by 69Sman
To the right hobbyist they can farm out the really tough stuff, and then do the rest themselves.... I know there's guys out there who can paint and do their own interior and re-assembly.
This car "finished" will be absolutely striking....

The question that I ask myself, when I see a car like this, is whether it's really a Porsche, after the restoration. I understand wanting to save a car, but this one is really just for parts, right?

In the end, this kind of neglect is really just sad. Any masochist taking on this project earns my admiration, since they are a better person than I for going the extra mile and not settling for Polo Red.

Wow, the BIN is almost $50,000...I'm continually challenged to think of my car being worth that and it's all there!Originally Posted by 69Sman
