Check out the sticker proudly shown on the fan!
DEFINITELY no affilitation. Let's see how high it climbs given its highly prestigious motor builder.

It looks "decent" to me in the pics.
I don't like the modern tread on the tires, the polished Fuchs, black engine grill (plastic maybe?) and black nomenclature, but everything else looks pretty good.
CA black plate car, yea baby.....that's what my '68 is also, I have the original CA black plate from mine in my garage.

I believe the post on Pelican Parts said it all -- "you might as well say in the ad that the engine needs a rebuild."

But for 20k it should at least have the original engine.

The best picture is of the oil tank lines where you can see the "helper" springs on the rear shock or are those early coil-overs
The engine is not that big of a deal. The key on the early ones is rust or no rust. Used 2.0 normale engines come up every few months for less than $3500. Rust free bodies are much harder to find. This car seems to have a lot of the right pieces. Interior looks correct expect for a few things. Rear deck lid grill is wrong. (Should be aluminum instead of black). Not a fan of the carb's. Webbers are always better. Fuchs wheels are also a bonus. Wonder what the original color is/was? Would also be nice to see the front trunk area with wheel and carpet removed.
True, but any buyer should go in eyes wide open.Originally Posted by gruen911
