Re-Ring the Starter Gear on Flywheel??

Is there a way to re-ring the starter gear on an Early 911 Flywheel??? I chipped a couple of teeth out of my flywheel ring gear when I hit the stater after the #2 Connecting Rod bolts failed?? The starter now clunks heavily as it rolls across the chipped area and I'm not really inclined to spend the big bucks on buying a new flywheel. Any advice is appreciated..

Re-ring the starter ring on an early flywheel

Ollies Machine Shop in Santa Ana, CA did one for me last year. If I remember correctly, it cost $150.00. I am sure there are other shops that can do this as well. Ollies' phone number is (714) 558-7334.
