    Another Rusty Softie in CA

    http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifie....php?id=609963

Whichever one of you guys buys this is lucky I don't currently have any money, and am on a strict moratorium from buying anything with a motor and wheels.

Certainly cheaper than the $30k required to by the rusty Tangerine Softie on Ebay

Yes, it's cheaper, and almost worth it to part out, but to restore? It's a base model 911, not the L or S, so not sure where the market is on this car. Same costs to do this one as the other one...so is there say $25K in final market price value...if we take all emotions out of it?

Wheels, if they are original, are worth near half the price of admission. Eric, you are right, though: non S + standard color and interior = much less emotion.

    Title

Can you sell a car without a title here in CA ?? No....Why would you buy a car w/o a title ?? If you're the seller, wouldn't a buyer want a title, even if it's a parts car. Isn't this how the Police get "chop-shops" ?? The car in ?? is definitely restorable. I've talked to these guyz b4, they're OK !!

This car properly restored would have greater value than a standard properly restored 1968 Normale coupe. Could it be a fifty thousand dollar car? Never....er.... not this year anyway.
