    Engine type number

    What should the engine type number stamped into the case
    on the horizontal behind the right of the fan be for a 1967S.

    The number on mine looks nothing like the acknowledged
    type numbers that I have heard the engine referred to
    before such as 2000S in some old literature or 901/02.

    I am not looking at the serial number from the vertical
    section where the fan straps attach.

    Anybody work out what the 4 digits mean yet? As another data point
    I have 8316 on my engine number 961687.

    I'll have to take another look to see if 901/02 is underneath the grime.
