    SOLD.

    Thanks Chuck,

Hang tight... we're doing a set for a customer who may want to put them on the market when finished.

They were cleaning out the garage and found a 904 mainshaft, 914-6/GT rear calipers (real one's from what I can tell), 914-6 rear calipers and some S-Calipers like these.

Damn... wish that was my garage.

They're currently being polished and anodized. They will have new SS pistons.

I'll put you as next in line for those.

I need new brake pad backing plates. What is their function? Do they affect heat flow or braking performance? Do they reduce squealing or vibration? Are they just for comfort or do they affect performance?

My old ones were destroyed in the old calipers when getting the old pads out. The new Ate pads did not have them included. The Textar M caliper pads had them bonded onto the pad on the old and new pads. This makes me think that I can run without them.

    PM box full

I want to get my current rotors checked for runout and wear first. I will let you know. You do not need to order the new front Zimmerman rotors right now.

    Thanks,

    Max

Yes Sir. It would probably be best to restore yours unless we can fond some 69-70 units before then.

Thanks Max... sorry about the PM box. I'll go do some house cleaning.

    Thanks Eric,

I will get in touch with you later in October of this year. I have attached my e-mail address. If you get a chance, could you give me a rough idea of what I should expect to pay to have them rebuilt.

Thanks and talk with you soon,

    Hey Gary,

Here's a link for you and others:

    http://www.pmbperformance.com/page/page/4741552.htm

Expect to pay a base of $399.00. Also, expect to pay an additional $132.00 for SS pistons. Roughly 90% of the S-Calipers we've seen have rusted pitted pistons. You may want to invest an additional $35.00 for SS compensating lines. If you're lucky you can get by with the straight $399.00 and $9.30 in shipping.
