    Congrats Max!

Ironically, the check for the S-Calipers came in the mailbox the same day my new Excellence arrived.

Congrats on the nice write-up in Excellence!! (now go do your homework!).

    Calipers will be shipping tomorrow.

I want to go for a ride next time I'm in town.

Thanks. Glad you liked the article.

Those calipers will look so great that I will have to get a follow-up article and mention Eric aka Neunelfer.

No homework to do- I just graduated last Saturday: Salutatorian, 4 year awards in Calculus, Science, Social Studies, etc.

I start a job on June 4 after my Geburtstag on the 3rd. (I have to pay for the calipers somehow )

The car is so much fun! As for the ride, you got it. Just let me know when you'll be around.

Right-on Bud! That's the most important stuff to have in "print". You'll love the calipers. (I hope)

    S Brakes

Was this an article on transforming M calipers to S. I will definitely buy that one as a new owner of S brakes.

No, M calipers cannot be changed to S unless your a nuclear physicist and can change Iron to Aluminum.

The car has original 1971 911S calipers with the original Ms in the rear. I just bought some beautifully restored S calipers from Neunelfer to relpace the "tired" fronts.

    calipers

I guess I should have stated transplanting. I still think that would make an even better article. There are many of us that desire to put S calipers on a T, but can't justify the $2000 end result.

I think the article was about a Dad (I hate your Dad BTW) handing over the keys to an ultra-cool, ultra-light 911S and having a son at such a ripe young age that actually knows what to do with said car.

Regarding getting S-Calipers on your T; it's quite simple:

Get some 3.5" struts (Vintage Koni's or Bilsteins if you want it to be period correct... later SC Boge's if you don't care) and bolt on the S-Calipers.

I know where there's a mint pair of Koni struts for $500 and S-Calipers will go from $300-$?,???.00 depending upon the condition. Search S-Calipers here so you understand what you might be getting into. Most have rusted pistons. They aren't getting any cheaper.

Back to your regularly scheduled praise for the nice article.

My dad has a blast riding with me. He thinks he got a pretty good deal. I can go a little faster than he can.
