No. The number was passed on to me so it's second-hand info. Any ideas?Originally Posted by manu72S

The motor is supposed to be a factory replacement motor ... that may be where the 4th digit "3" comes from. That's why I'm looking for info.

Marco,
Very interesting. Sure would like to see a photo of the serial # stamping on that case. The factory replacement motors I have seen photos of (which is not many) have "AT" stamped before the serial #. Does this case have those letters?

No pictures available, but I don't believe it has those letters. I believe the stamping to be *6633028* ...
Brian, you're the second person I've heard mention those letters.

Marco; that could be a RS replacement case, MFI 1973-75. Very valuable. could have been incorrectly stamped(#3) if replacement?

Marco- My car has a Porsche supplied RS motor in it. It has the AT stamp next to the serial number as well. The # is 6630993, 911/83, 901.106.101.5R Hope this helps.

This may be beyond my "skill level", but weren't all RS engines 7R cases?
I believe these engines all have date stamps on the case halves....take a look down by the oil return tubes, should be there.
