    Blaupunkt Frankfurt ID help

Hello, my 70S (manufactured 10/69) has a Frankfurt radio but all of the identifying labels are missing. Here are some photos of the front, back and side that should have the label:

Can anyone help me with the model # of the radio please?

    cheers,
    Michael

Thanks Michael. I had checked that site and it really didn't shed any light. I assume from it that I may have a 7639670 - Frankfurt US but I was hoping someone with a 70S could verify from the label on their radio.

    cheers,
    Michael

There are two labels on the side of the Frankfurt

One had the radio name and model number such as you mention

The second has Blaupunkt and another number which always starts with a letter. If my memory serves me correctly the letter determines what year the radio is except I can't remember what letter stands for what year

    Someone help!!!

Thanks John, I have read that post (and all of the related posts here and on Pelican). I am trying to go the other way though! I have no identification tags on my radio. I am 99.9% sure it is original to the car and I want to determine what the model # is. I presume that since my car was manufactured in late 69, that my radio is either a 68-69 (B) or 69-70 (C) but suppose it could be a 70-71 (D) as well. I was hoping someone with a 70S and Frankfurt radio might have or could get the model # off off their radio.

    Cheers,
    Michael

Did you try opening the top to see whether there is a notation inside. That looks totally correct for your car, by my eye.

No Tom, I haven't but I will when I get it back. I sent it to Tony at the Antique Radio Shop (http://www.radiodoctor.org/) in Ontario to have the FM tuner indicator fixed. I'll ask him to check when he has it popped open.

    cheers,
