    '67 in NY

I saw this car for sale in my internet travels and thought I'd pass the info along. Sounds like a nice car. I haven't inquired about price because I'm not in the market. I think I remember a car like this for sale in the Connecticut area a while back. No affiliation.

DESCRIPTION: 1967 PORSCHE 911 SUNROOF COUPE Sand Beige/Black 18,000 2-owner miles from new! 5-speed, completely original in every respect. An incredibly well maintained time machine! Looks as good and drives as well as the day it left the factory. Verified by Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. For the enthusiast who can appreciate originality over restoration.

    Owner?

Will the real owner please identify himself! Sloan has it too for 110,000K. Looks like two brokers on a fishing trip.I wonder if the owner even knows his car is for sale! http://www.sloancars.com/vs1/detail.asp?CarID=287

That speedo has been spun and I would bet that car has been freshened to look like an original 19,000 mile car. Firstly, a 19,000 mile 41 year old car would have to have been driven regularly to run as the day it was built. That would be <500 miles a year or about 10 miles a week. If somebody took that kind of care for 41 years to keep a car like new his time would be worth about $400,000 so the car would be a steal at $110,000.

Of course I have an agenda.

Why not consider my '66 for a mere $47,000 less with completely sorted mechanicals?

Looks nice. If it's at Motor Classics I know the owner, Nick, sold him my first ferrari. Sloan is also upscale so in either case it should be a good car. Out of my range though.

    Cool

Based on the pictures, the car is with Nick at Motor Classics and Competition. Therefore, the price that Sloan is listing at is likely higher than Nick's actual price.

That's not the original carpet in the car. A '67 Normal would have rubber mats instead of carpet on the floor areas.
