Thread: Sport Seats from 1971 Targa for Sale.

Sport Seats from 1971 Targa for Sale.

Hi, I have a buyer for my '71 Targa, but he is not interested in paying the premium I am asking because the car has sport seats. As a result, I'm putting them up here for sale. I'm looking for the best offer over $5k. Based on the response I got from listing the car, it seems several people were willing to pay $5k for them and offer me a set of standard seats to replace the missing ones so I can sell the car. The seats have been recovered on their fronts, but it appears the headrests and backs are original. They come with the tracks and all hardware, providing you can replace them with fair to ok standard seats so that I can sell the car to this gentleman. First come, first served.

    Thanks,
    -Mike

    Seats

I am interested and will pay the $5000; however, I don't have set of seats to go in. The seats I am using in my 69S don't really fit.

Drop me an Email at chapman44@amertech.net

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.

    Seats

    Thanks Joe
I have not heard anything about the Sprot Seats. As a side note I sold my "regular seats" this year for $200 thinking I would not need them.
    Again
thanks for the offer to help.

I am the aforementioned gentleman who agreed to purchase the car w/o the seats.

PS is that the original steering wheel in the back seat? The prototipo is nice, but the original is so much more proper looking . . . .

Sorry everyone, I am traveling, so connectivity is spotty. I've sent you both emails. Thanks Joe, I'll drop you a line when I get back if that's alright.

    Out of the car

    Hello again,

These seats are now out of the car for anyone who is interested. They also will come with the tracks and pivot mechanism. Interested parties have been contacted by email, but no takers as of yet.

I have seen these in person and they are very nice. Well worth the asking price.

I am still interested in the seats. What is the status of a sale?
