    In Dash Blower Motor Failure

I'm getting power at the connection to the blower motor but she don't wanna hear it anymore. Has anyone ever repaired these motors and if so, what can I look for to fix it? I also found that the rubber seals around the flappers that are located in the housing are falling apart but I don't believe they can be replaced.

Has anyone else repaired these items or do I simply have to replace the motor and housing?

The blower motor is available after market from Bosch, I don't have the number here at home, but I 'll get it and post it later. As to the rubber around the valves I've never done that, but I don't see why it couldn't be done as a home project, probably way too much handwork for shop rate stuff.

    Thanks for reply guys!

I'll look for that thread on pelican about the rubber foam replacement. As for the motor, I wanted to see if it was just a matter of simply cleaning the contacts etc...

Or maybe I'm just being a little cheap

    Ed,
the numbers that I have on the blower motor are:

    CPK 12V 13. 90. 4
    0 130 066 015

I Googled "Bosch electric motors" and searched those numbers but I didn't get a match. Was I looking at the wrong site or should I simply order the motor with the fan thru pelican?

    Thanks,
    Tim G.

Tim, the Bosch number I promised is 0 130 007 002. It will have a different brush setup than your old one, but it is the correct replacement, I have installed them so I know they work.

This is exactly what I did last week Gumby! Before I order a new one I figured I'd try and have it repaired first so I dropped it off at a local electrical shop to see what they can do.

If they can't fix it then I'll have it replaced
