    Not mine.

I am sure at one time someone was very proud of this.

69 MY, and only 10 numbers off a car I'm looking for, I nearly
jumped out of my seat, I thought that was it.

What a mess, without the correct engine it's just another
    butchered 911.

That is indeed an early '69S. What is even weirder is that I have a '69S engine case (6390222) in my garage that is so close, it could realistically be the one for this car (or the car ajwans is looking for). Also, that '76 turbo motor is intriguing...almost morth buying!

It really was not that long ago when these cars especially the SWB really had little intreast to most people.
The PO of my 67S also had a 57 four cam speedster and we were talking about how values change when he told me about a neighbor of his after WWII in Scotland who needed a chicken coup and building any thing was pricey so the neighbor brought a new Merlin Spitfire engine and carefully undid the crate and rolled the engine out in a ditch so he could use the crate for his Chicken coup. Times and values of things change.

For those who may need them for matching cars I have these '69 S ....

Cases - 6390050 and 6390056 (one is for my chassis number 25 car, I just
don't know which one it is)

    Complete motors - #0431, 0526, 0623, 0970, 1165, and 2066.

My others in stock are with the matching cars. I am looking for a '69S engine in the 1,380 - 1,480 serial number range for one of my cars. Any leads would be appreciated.

FWIW, I did some straight line calcs. Very probably way off, but I can extrapolate a bit from what I know. My car’s motor's serial is pretty early at 6390080 and my other case is 6390222, which based on straight line calculation puts the serial of the original car at 119300173, which is invariably incorrect, since the numbers spread to the outside throughout production for various reasons (targa production, engines that don’t make spec, etc). Based on analyzing the VINs for 1969, you get 614 targas adding to the spread + a 24 number gap that I attribute to production anomalies. Here is my best guess at mapping things up:

At 00259, this puts it around October and my case in September.

Pretty cool chart, Kenik. FWIW - the COA for the car that I'm looking for the 1,400's serial number has a prduction date of 4/10/1969. That fits the range your chart for April!

Interesting. Clearly straight line calcs aren't working.
