Correct seat material for 73 sport seats

This is a pic of a set of seats in a 73 S Targa I recently purchased. The material looks to me like it does not have the correct texture. What should these look like. I know glove box badge is in incorrect location as well.
    Thanks,
    Phil

    Phil,

Need a better (closer) look at the seats...

As far as I know there was no glove compartment badge in '73.

    Cheers

    Chuck,
Thanks, I'll post better pic of seats when car shows up later this week. I guess I need to drag out my books and sort everything out.

The 72/73 vinyl is a matte finish but slightly heavier in texture than 71 and earlier.

Tony just sent me some swatches on a new vinyl he has, and it is REALLY REALLY close to OE.... closest thing I have ever seen.

Sorry no closeups for side by side (I'm in NY on business), but call Tony and he'll send you a swatch.

I'm sure someone here can post a pic of the correct 72/73 vinyl.

This is the vinyl used on a 1973 aftermarket Recaro Ideal seat.
Its the same vinyl texture as the 1973 headrest.
As stated its a matte finish but slightly heavier in texture than 71 and earlier.
