    What is the backstory?

If memory serves, the rumor was it was going to take something in the neighborhood of $30k to get the owner to part with it. It has been auctioned twice now, this being the third time, so perhaps the owner has lowered expectations.

If I have a nice, rust free 1967 912 softie and no scruples this would be a deal. Looks like someone ponyed up the 35k and bought it.
