    My Old Mopar

Back before I found myself my 911, I built up an Aussie version of a Dodge Dart factory drag car. I have always loved factory style race/drag cars, from the sixties especially. This is a 1969 Chrysler Valiant running a 360, 727( 3500 stall), and 9inch diff with 411 gears. It ran 11.8's on street tyres, full exhaust and pump gas. I won the 1997 Australian Nostalgia Drag title for my class.
I was in my mid twenties, and I sold it to travel the world. I do miss it.
Sorry about the pics, I took photos of photos.

Your secret's safe with us mate........

Actually, after 16 years of chipping away at all the mechanicals, I'm finally doing the body and paint on the old Malibu as we speak........

Matt, I have a friend that has a car very similar to yours... I'll get a pic the next time their together...

    Cheers

My 65 Plymouth Belvedere II I had in High School and my first year at UCLA. Yanked the 273 and stuffed in a 413 Max Wedge with a 727 Torqueflite and 391 gears. Lots of fun before the first gas crisis of 73. I then bought a new Super Beetle.

Chuck, cant wait to see the end result, Im sure it will be worth the wait.

I would love to build a another Dart, this time with a Hemi Crate motor . Nothing could replace my little 911 though!!

    Stefan,
that Plymouth must have really moved with the later combo!!! It must have been a shock jumping straight into a Beetle

Biggest problem was keeping it hooked up...

The beetle was real culture shock but it was time to move on. Wish I still had that Mopar for the multitude of cruise nights around here in SoCal...

What you don't see is how DRY the drip pan is. I believe it's Chuck's version of a preemptive strike.
