    WTB: 912 Sunroof Coupe

With the start of my new business and my need for driving around town, I've decided that a 912 would be a great daily driver. So -- I'm looking for a 912 Sunroof Coupe in *great* condition. Willing to pay a premium for the right car.

Gotta have a sunroof, gotta be in great condition.

    Thanks,
    JohnA

    as per the 912 registry..
http://www.912registry.org/restore/openroof.htm not too many 912 sunroofs were made according to the registry.

ALTHOUGH A NICE TURN KEY DRIVER...this one needs more restoration.

new floors and suspension pans were installed professionally 10 years ago.

it needs more rust repair (see photo album)around the windows, by the headlights...all small bubbles but needs repair before a full glass out respray to its original IRISH GREEN (6806)

    >>>

    comestically it has good appearance.

mechanically it is very healthy and does not leak any oil!!!

it has a 5 speed and the engine has been overhauled,

good dash, good glass and trim.

But they are so rough and thrashy. They do make some amazing power, but refinement is not part of the deal.

funny how they missed the sunroof on the COA

    Smile COA Crap

Yes funny how they miss things on the COA's, but sometimes they add them too. My 89 930 Slant says pcm 2.3 navigation system, well as you know they did not have navigation back then, it probably came out 10 years later. My 2007 GT-3 had deviated interior painted parts and wheels but the COA said painted exterior color. I have ordered over 30 COA's for cars i own and about 33% of them are wrong. My good friend Jim Perrin past President of PCNA just ordered one two weeks ago for his 1964 356 Carrera 2 and it said it was a 65 model. there are a few problems with the program #1 Porsche reuses the code number from year to year, here is an example in 1989 a factory code for a radio could be #203 in 2005 code #203 could be the code for a navigation system. then on top of that you would have to be a Porsche history buff to know all the options for every year and the ladies working there in the COA program just can't know all that, who does? By the way the 912 on Ebay s mine. I did put a picture of the sunroof on Ebay, if anyone can tell me anything about it please e-mail me rthomas@heattfs.com Thanks Ron Thomas
