    SOMEBODY bought Steve Mc Queen's 70 "S"

Rumor has it that some "Shanty Irish Bastard" in the north east bought Steve Mc Queen's 70 S for an insane amount of money

I'm told he could'a bought a Porsche dealership for less

Frank are you looking to adopt?

    Wow.

You know i seem to recall a Benz owned by Solar was for sale (and sold) here not too long ago. Would be nice to track that down in an effort to put together a very nice set.

wow, that really is an iconic car Frank.
-whatever $ was paid will seem trivial in years to come...

(unfortunately, that doesn't help the rest of us in the short term, especially if trying to negotiate
the price for one of Franks other cars )

Might I suggest subsidizing the cost of purchase by offering Board members hot laps in the passenger seat? I for one would pay to say I had a ride in one of the most iconic early 911s ever.

(I'm kidding, of course. Huge congrats, Frank.)

It sold for cheap (relatively) mid $40k as I recollect.
