    Trying to i.d. unusual wheel

Tripped over this '70's vintage steering wheel. I recognize the logo but can't remember the company (Hann maybe?). The hub is 70mm deep and the horn button parted ways long ago.
Does anyone know anything about this wheel?

    Many thanks.

    Frank

    Hann Steering Wheel

    Frank,

Is the rim urethane, plastic or wood? In case you are not certain of the vintage - this may help discern its age.

As far as Vilem B. Hann goes, I believe he was of Austrian descent. He opened a shop in the mid to late '50s selling parts & accessories for Porsche 356s - e.g steering wheels like the wooden one pictured in the 356 Registry link. Not sure how long he stayed in business for, perhaps sometime into the 70s.
My 356 was fitted with one of his steering wheels in the late 50s, identical to the one in the 356 Registry link- the one you show is the first Hann wheel I've seen of a different style (hub).

Vilem also helped design & had manufactured the original POC badge - used until Porsche got protective about its logo & banned its use by other parties.

Have attached a pix of this below.

    Haan steering wheel

    Great information. Thank you gentlemen.

Anyone know how this comes apart? It seems to have two dowel pins or break off bolts (?) that sandwich the wheel between the top retainer ring and the hub.
