    914/6 throttle lever mechanisim

Does any know if there is a way around putting a throttle lever system in a swb 911.I was thinking a 914/6 unit might work;is there a similar 911 part that might work without the hand brake unit in a 911? ala 914/6..... Cliff

    Cliff...
the 914-6 one actually has a rod in the tunnel that goes forward and pushes the accelerator lever on the pedal cluster....so when you lift up on the handle it pushes the rod...there is a little bracket that holds the rod in-place...can't remember but seems like the lever has a lip on it for the rod to hit....the 914-6 uses an accelerator cable and not a rod like the 911....maybe it would work...
