    My .02

    GREAT build.........
Great suggestion Chuck. My first thought was to say do what "you" like vs others. Awesome build. Thanks for sharing.

Darren - I would trust your instinct and leave it body color. A detail like that deserves the directed attention which the body color accomplishes.

I'm inclined to agree Bob and leave it body color although think I'll do as Chuck suggested and maybe cover over one side in black tape when the car is on its wheel to compare.

I have some script that's been gathering dust on a shelf for the last 18 months that I'll use soon......hope it's still sticky!

    Cheers,

    Cheers,
Ill need to concur with Mr. Tilton.... I think this is cool looking, just the way it is. You already have the black under it and plenty of other cars have that insert jack stand spot 'black'...

When this car was raced in the Tour de France they misspelled the name. It should have two r's

Now when it came time to restore the car the decision was to misspell it again. After all it was original to the car. In addition when pictures from the era were studied it was obvious that the hood was poorly aligned. They had to create that very same misalignment when they restored the car. This is attention to detail.

I was looking for an airbox for my slide injection. I found something nice by EB Motorsport.

I think the idea to fix the airbox directly on the slide injection is smart: there is an M6 eyelet that replaces one of the M6 nuts on the cross shaft bearing block, there are 2 springs on either side of the airbox the lower open end’s hook on to the eylet. Simple!

They made test on the dyno and they noticed that the airbox doesn't «eat» power!

Serge: I would council against actually using that badge on the car. I got one a couple years ago for my wife (maiden name Gunther) to put on her '71 911. It delaminated within a couple months. Total waste of $$, though it would have been fine if left inside..
