Looks good Rob. One minor thing, please take out the flat Phillips head screws holding the door strap, and replace them with oval head screws. To be truly satanic.

Its getting harder and harder to do something original, with these builds. There seems to be a bit of a formula of things to do. So thinking out of the box, but still being "period correct" we used Ferrari hood hold downs instead of leather buckles or rubber pulls.

i really like that one. different, period correct and very sturdy. rubber and leather will wear and stretch.. those wont.
i also love that you have grills inside the holes. i think most people leave those open on the r fendered cars cars. great look to take car of negative space.

So you drilled the holes for the headlight retainer in the fenders eh! Was there any hesitation there or did you just go ahead full speed!

Not really, the fiberglass fenders don't lend themselves to holding in the headlights any better than the steel. We did take the extra step of glassing in a retaining nut so the light could be repeatedly removed. The headlights are actually 356 units adapted for the purpose, we will be adding "city lights" in the unused sockets. We wanted a cleaner look than the "R" ones.

Nice details, Rob... especially like the addition of city lights. Where did you find the Ferrari-style hood pins?
What ReOriginals offered a few years back were pretty poor copies.
EDIT: This guy came up with a creative and cheap substitute! http://www.mgexperience.net/phorum/read.php?1,1051005
With a little extra effort it wouldn't be hard to improve a few details, but it's a very clever idea on his part.

The hood pins were hard to find, Dave Bouzaglou found them for me. He mentioned a friend of his that did Ferrari restorations as a possible source, but I'm not sure where he finally located them.
