If anyone feels that they might actually follow up on this request, I'll publicly commit here & now to buy a set of four, or a pair each of large and small ones ( if they're available in sizes ) , for installation on Ruprecht, where I intend to mount them in the exact same location as the Monza record-breaking R has the leather straps. The small ones will be used in the rear.
John, here you go one pair large, one small, as requested.

    Les is more...

My wife gave me a Les Paul Junior guitar kit for Christmas. A LP jr is a lot like a SWB 911...simple, nothing there that doesn't need to be, yet still an awesome machine.

So, of course I have to build it up as an accessory to my car...right? I painted it Ford Wimbledon White, which is as close to Porsche Light Ivory as you can get in a rattle can. Some of the kit parts were pretty cheesy so I replaced the pickup with a real P90, changed the pick guard screws to black, added some vintage style Gibson Deluxe machine heads, gold speed knobs, and did some body/neck mods to get the action to a playable height. I shamelessly stole a piece of Bob Tilton's SWB werk crew logo for the headstock, which was just the perfect finishing touch. It took about 3 weeks to build and to my rank amateur guitar player/builder skill level it looks, sounds, and plays nice.

It's a perfect combination of fun toy and garage art.

Nice Rich!!! so that's where you've been...busy with the LP junior. It's looking good, with an appropriately vintage finish. I had no idea that you were interested in guitars/playing. I am always surprised at how many 911 owners are guitar players. ( I have a nice old Les Paul, Strat.........etc.) I am interested in making a "cars & guitars" calendar. Want to contribute some pix??

Ah yes...the custom one of a kind side script. I was tired of having a car that looked like everybody elses with the same old side stripes. I got the side script idea from a 60’s Trans-Am car from the Pacific NW. It was sponsored by a local Porsche dealer named Porsche Car N.W...which is kind of fitting since that’s what/where my car is. I contacted Bob about a set of Porsche Car N.W. side scripts and he said he could make 'em...no problem. That was before he found that the font used in the scripts doesn't exist and to replicate it to his standards, he'd have to recreate the font from scratch. He did an awesome job, as usual. I've gotten nothing but positive comments...and...I'm not going to see myself coming down the road - mission accomplished!

    Here's the end result.

Now that is a thing of beauty.. where did you get it, or find the components for the set up? Been looking at going 915 shifter w/ Wevo, but with a different period correct knob.
