    Ebay 69T coupe

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=180262617732

Any knowledge of/opinions on this car? A quick read on my part:

Pros: Respray looks to be done to a high standard*; Interior in very good condition, nice door pockets; Full set of Mahle "gas burners" - not to everyone's taste but often desired; plenty of tools, but are they correct?

Cons: 2.0-litre Sporto = kind of a slug; Respray, although nice, in an odd (non-Porsche?) color; Non-matching front parking lamp/turn signal lenses (no big deal); Outside mirror not period correct(? again no big deal); Description of drivetrain suggests no tensioner upgrades - what else might it need (only PPI will tell).

    * Seller says car originally orange; underside trailing edge of decklid appears white, "Sportomatic" badging missing and no mounting holes apparent - not original?

VIN suggests Karmann-bodied RoW car, correct?

    Thanks for your help.

I'm guessing it was deleted intentionally during the resto.

    Just sayin'...

-repaint is 20yrs old and still looks good (in pics anyways) which makes me feel good about surface prep.

-color, while not original, is very pretty. gas burners and fogs remind me of that jeff smith car in E a few months back.

    -engine looks clean

-period floor mats make you feel like the guy appreciates 911's and may be a hint to the level of care given during his ownership.

    -2 owners is a nice low #

-is there any 911 ever produced that would be slower than a '69T?
    -non factory color
-no such thing as 'rust free'
