Hi Guys,
Do you have a recommendation for the Allen Key Tool kits you have purchased ? As I do intent to keep the car , getting a good quality set is the aim.
I am open to suggestions, could you also indicate the price Range

are you asking where to buy a set of allen wrenches?
Why not do a search? There are dozens of sets available; probably any one would do.
I finally got tired of searching through a drawer full of individual allen wrenches, so I bought two new sets.
One set is 6 Craftsman 3/8" drive sockets w/allen heads. 4,5,6,7,8,10mm
Another is a set of 13 Kobalt wrenches. They come in a nifty holder that includes a handle that the wrenches fit into for better leverage. One end is rounded for getting into places that are not straight-on accessible. 1.5-10mm
Both sets were indispensable during my '66 911 refresh.
The only other allen wrench I bought was for the concentric bolts on the spring plates...that was before I found out I had one in the car's tool kit.

is this thread a joke or what?
This thread is not a joke, it was a question I asking as I am in the process of looking to purchase a Allen Keey set. I was wondering what brand other people had purchased and why.
Thanks

Here's the short answer:
I own Snap-On, Hazet, Stahlwille, Klein (factory tool kit tools used on a regular basis), Harbor Freight (expendable), Matco, and Craftsman.
Seriously, I own at least one set of each. Long, short, regular, socket, ball-end, t-handle ...
I would say a good set of Craftsman 1/4" drive from 3mm-6mm and 3/8" drive from 4mm-10mm would cover all of your bases. If you've got the juice, step it up to Snap-On or Hazet. FWIW, the Hazet set that I have are THE BEST set of allens I've ever used.

Thanks Marco,
Given your experience and that the car is a long term hold and own I think the Snap-On or Hazet is the go. ( i have never heard of Hazet, time for me to do some research )
Thanks Again
