Porsche Anti-freeze, silicon spray, paste wax, all purpose cleaner, windshield washer, coco mats received a US parts number.
ROW markets had sometimes different items with their specific language printed according to markets.

In 1970, the US Accessoires CLIENT folder did not list option codes in their pages but the 1970 DEALER Accessoires sales book listed all items with parts numbers:

    Part 901 551 102 15 Coco floor mats (7 specifications for front/rear)
Part ZPW 146 112/113 and option 9361/9362 Porsche lettering and stripes
Part ZDW 243 101 All purpose cleaner
Part ZDW 245 503 Windshield washer
Part ZDW 245 501 Car Cleaner and Polish
    Part ZDW 243201 Paste wax
    Part 644 802 015 01 Luggage spider

I believe that some items have been originally included in tool kits ("touch up paint" in US tool kits) therefore did not have an option code but a replacement parts number only.

549 might be 3-point belt for 914 cars.
The German 71 option list (combined 911&914 folder) shows M549 within a 914 car.

    Help on Option M414

This option is listed as "911S instruments and oil tank."

Thomas thinks oil tank means front oil cooler. Can anyone confirm it is M 414 is a front oil cooler with 911S instruments. BTW, why would it included S instruments?..Perhaps, part of a marketing package?

    M414

    Allen, my guess:

    TWO 911S instruments for 2.2l 911T:
oil pressure&level instrument and fuel&oil level gauge and oil tank w integrated sender level (for oil pressure/level) which is not supplied with 911T standard instruments which measures oil temp and fuel level only.

An 911s always has S instruments and they would never have equipped a T or E with 7200rpm redline.
The two combined instruments (far left and left) are interchangeable for T as well.

Sounds like a v.g. guess. Thanks.

Does anyone know whether / how the option codes changed for 1973?

For example the COA for my '73 E includes the option codes 400 and 470.

#400 = instead of forged wheels, doesn't this refer to the pressure cast cookie cutters?

    #470 = appearance / comfort group for a T. Was anything different for E's vs. T's?

    M 414 : S instruments

I too think you are spot on, Karim.

Page 10 in the 1970 brochure shows option M 414: combination gauges to the far left and second from the left:

A single fuel gauge to the far left was standard on 911T in 1970 an 1971 and on 911T and 911E in 1972 and 1973 according to dr. Johnsons book and the parts catalogue

Second instrument from the left was a dual scale gauge on 911S and RS from 1970-73 and optional on all other models, also according to dr. Johnson and the parts catalogue.

    1970-73 T, E and S models had different tachos.

No, I don't think so. The Fuchs were forged aluminum alloy wheels. The ATS Cookie cutters were pressure cast alu and they are M 485. Forging applies much more (stamping, I think, type) force than pressure casting. In any case, forging is a different process than pressure casting.

As for M470, I think but am not sure, that for the E is was standard but still would appear on the build sheet as it was technically optional.
