Well, there's one nice item I won't be adding to my library any time soon.
You gotta be kidding? Was there something special about this serial number? I like my book, but for that money I'll photocopy the info I need and sell it!!Originally Posted by 72targa
Nothing special except hard to find a new one. They have been selling at auction between $2000 - $3000.
Funny story – the guy who bought the book called me when the auction ended. Naturally, I had to ask if he actually owned an RS. He laughed and then told me that he currently owned an early 'S' but was having to sell that as he was in the process of buying a '73RS (a cool $300,000 deal from a major-league dealer...) but he hadn't told his wife yet. Now I used to sneak the odd race part past my (ex) beloved, but an RS? That takes cojones!

Hey I stunk in 3 GT3Cup Cars past my love one once but then again it may also explain why she is now my ex loved one, oh well !
As for the book, I purchased one of these new and have never even looked at it. No idea what number it is as it's still packed away from a move I made 4 years ago. At these prices perhaps I should dig it out !

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.
Better check it out Joe, it may #358. Wouldn't that be interesting.
