planning to head over - which event though

I'm looking at heading over in my 73RS - its about 1 hr from the Delaware memorial bridge so this is just a quick ride out there. SVRA in a couple of weeks could be interesting, not sure I can to the Grand Am race as we have an annual exotic car tour - Mason Dixon which clashes ... if only it routed thru NJ !

Our PCA region has a DE event in October so I want to get a look see before that comes round.

Raj, I am guessing that you are speaking initially of September 20 - 21, the Vintage Air and Auto Show @ Thunderbolt Raceway
"NJMP will host the Inaugural Wheels & War Birds Airshow. This unique event will feature vintage auto races, combined with over 20 WWII war birds on display and in the air! Get the rare treat of seeing all of these historic planes in one place. Aircraft will include: four P-47 Thunderbolts, two TBM Avengers, a Corsair, a Spitfire, four T-6s, two Stearman, a U.S. Coast Guard Widgeon Amphibian, three B-25s, a L-4 (Liaison Aircraft), a C-47 DC3 Paratrooper Transport, a C-40 Warhawk, and two P-51 Mustangs. Don't miss this truly special event where the sky will be the limit !"

Regarding a run, i know the rennlist runs go along the delaware, down by Lambertsville etc and speak very highly of that area.

I believe that Paul Ripley was trying to organize a run in August up to CT, with Friday in a fleabag motel and dinner, followed by McQ run on Sat. The Breakfast Club runs he organizes, you know the RG/E911S/Bfast Club posts ....
Great idea .... not all weekends work out for all. Spread the wealth.

    Run Through Bucks County PA

    Karl,
I live very close to the New Hope / Lambertville area and, yes there are a lot of very nice drives around Bucks County PA to enjoy in a vintage Porsches. Bucks County is about an hour and a half from NJMSP. Regardless of something happing with an "Eastern run" of some sort, I will be stopping in on the SVRA event at NJMSP on August 7-10. The September 20 - 21, Vintage Air and Auto Show sounds like a great event but a no go for me.

If anyone wants to get some S registry folks together in the Philly/NJ/Delaware area let me and Luke "Macroni" know. We have been trying to find a way to do it for a while.

    Mason Dixon Run III

Okay so it's not only early porsche nor just Porsche's - but we've been getting a good selection of exotic's to run around the lanes on Delaware, Maryland and PA.

    August the 30th

Jon who is now an early 911 owner frequents this site so hopefully we can get a little bit more info from him.

But I'm up for heading over to Millville - dates ??

Raj, what was the event that you were planning to attend, and that sparked this post? What dates?
Why don't we start from there.
We could use this post to talk about that and start a separate post regarding the idea below?

Lets plan something for southern jersey/PA like we hinted at above, so that it would attract southern end of tristate and mid atlantic as well?

    thoughts/ideas?

We have a very active group up here in Southeastern, Ma. and RI area. If I can be of any help please let me know. Is Upper State New York to far away - the Lake George area is beautiful? The East Coast RG, S Reg. post seems to have a good following, check it out. Lets' work on this idea of a large event- sounds like fun! This does take time to plan out, perhaps spring might be a better goal - let the discussions begin!
