Wiper motor replacment w/ 944 motor

The wiper motor on my 68 is toast, I have one available for 100 bucks, but have heard of 944 rear wiper motors being used to save weight in track cars. Has any one done this? Is it a simple swap, or should I just replace the original? I'm building a 911R, not a concourse winner. thanks

Jim Clzi did it. He used to be in Rgruppe but I heard he was kicked out.

Dunno if he posts here or not. He lives in California somewhere.
